The then 19-year-old Jada didn’t get the part because she was too short, as she recalled on an episode of her online series “The red table talk.” “The first time I met you was at the Fresh Prince Audition. I think I was 19, and the producers told me I was too short.”

Will married his first wife Sheree Zampino in 1992 and the couple was married until 1955. Talking to his TV-show cousin Alphonso Riberio, Will Smith explained how he missed an opportunity to connect with Jada when she auditioned for Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and on the way to meet Jada, she met Sheree who ended up being his wife. “I went to a different world to meet Jada and met Sheree.” He explained, adding that Jada might not have been his princess at the time, but she sure became his queen later. After a few years of dating, Will Smith married Jada Pinkett Smith who was pregnant with their first child, Jaden in December 1997.

She later added that filing for divorce was not necessary for them because they are both comfortable with where they are.
