These abductions, occurring before, during, and after the elections, have cast a dark cloud over Uganda’s democracy. Many of those listed are believed to be held incommunicado, their fate shrouded in secrecy.
As the holy month of Ramadan unfolds, our prayers and Duas extend beyond the walls of mosques to encompass all citizens languishing in prisons. But our hearts ache most for those whose whereabouts we cannot ascertain.
It is feared that they may be confined to torture chambers, subjected to unspeakable horrors in the regime’s safe houses. The uncertainty surrounding their well-being gnaws at our collective conscience.
Whether they are still among the living or have fallen victim to the regime’s brutality, one thing remains certain: **we demand answers, and we demand justice.**
The cry of “Bring Back Our People” echoes across the nation, a poignant reminder of our unwavering resolve to seek truth and accountability. As we raise our voices in solidarity, we vow to never relent until every missing Ugandan is accounted for and reunited with their loved ones.
