With the academic year swiftly drawing to a close and students having reported as early as January 20th, the window of opportunity for remedial action is rapidly closing.
Adding to the frustration is the perceived lack of concern from lecturers and university authorities, particularly towards final year students who are eagerly awaiting their results in order to graduate. The delay in releasing semester 1 results not only jeopardizes students’ academic progress but also casts doubts on the university’s commitment to the welfare and success of its student body.
For final year students, the implications of this delay are especially dire. Having completed their exams in November/December of the previous year, they now face the prospect of prolonged uncertainty as they await graduation, which is scheduled for December. Furthermore, the additional two-month wait for transcripts to be processed only serves to exacerbate the frustration and anxiety felt by students eager to embark on their post-graduate endeavors.
